New Talent – Swimming and Hyetal

Us Brits are well known for our pioneering spirit, groundbreaking music, and cultural heritage. Subculture are bringing you our next generation of trailblazers, shot beautifully in intimate surroundings. Take these 2 bands for example, captured right at the pivotal point in their careers, these clips are a snapshot of the best of new British talent that’s blowing up this summer.

Swimming ‘Mining For Diamonds’ Big tense buildups, skewed melodies and moments of heavy electronics underpin their sound.

Hyetal ‘Phoenix’ One of the UK’s most inspired producers of the moment. The debut album took the UK bass scene in new directions, and critical acclaim ensued…

Bands in Transit: Bombay Bicycle Club

Bands In Transit with Ford is incredibly excited to announce a live streamed acoustic performance by Bombay Bicycle Club, taking place next Tuesday, August 9th, at 1:30pm via www.bandsintransit.com

The Bands In Transit van will be rolling into a secret location where Bombay Bicycle Club will be performing acoustic versions of tracks from their brand new third album ‘A Different Kind of Fix’. In a little over three years Bombay Bicycle Club have released three LPs – an extraordinary and increasingly rare feat in the 21st century music industry. From the teenage indie kicks of their debut ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose’; to the sparse, timeless folk of last summer’s top ten album, ‘Flaws’ (nominated for an Ivor Novello Award); the quartet open a new and beguiling chapter with, ‘A Different Kind of Fix’, one that cements their place at the very forefront of British bands in 2011.

To view the performance, visit www.bandsintransit.com

“A Different Kind of Fix” will be released through Island Records on 29th August. The album’s first single ‘Shuffle’ is currently available on iTunes and has a killer Balearic remix from Leo Zero

Mark Ronson ‘Record collection’ 2012

After the success of his last album ‘Record Collection’ in late 2010, Mark Ronson is back with ‘Record Collection 2012′.

Kitsune on Record collection 2012:

“The least we can say is that Mark Ronson is some kind of a music genius. He neither anticipated any of his successes, nor does he believe they are true now. After making three successful albums, Here Comes the Fuzz, Version and Record Collection , and producing three of the biggest stars in the world, Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse and Adele, Mark Ronson is now releasing Record Collection 2012 his new single on Kitsune!

Featuring Pharrell Williams, MNDR, Wiley and Wretch 32, this new version of Record Collection brings more style and energy to the original version with its stirring tune and lyrics! The single is backed by amazing remixes by some of the hottest acts around, namely CSS, LOGO, Moonlight Matters, Plastic Plates, DATABASE and Perseus and which, according to Ronson himself, are all certified f***in bangers ! ”

This is going to fly, Push Music have had a sneaky listen to the remix package and they range from happy pop electro fare (CSS) Dark electronica (Logo) dance floor disco (Moonlight Matters) right through to an electro club rocker (Database)

Record collection 2012 is out on Kitsuné September 5th.

Cults ‘Go Outside’

With their debut, self-titled album, New York duo Cults have more than justified the hype that’s been swirling around them ever since they appeared out of nowhere and anonymously dropped three tracks of the most exquisite, off-kilter pop last spring. Guardian Film and Music went with “compelling uneasiness” we’re settling with the new Push Music coined term ‘Beach Wave’ (Kidding) Another soundtrack to Summer 2011.
