IS TROPICAL are set to release their debut album ‘Native to‘ on the 13th of June 2011 on Kitsuné.

‘Native to’, produced by the band together with Jimmy Robertson and part-Mixed by Lifelike, features twelve new tracks including previous singles  ‘South Pacific’ and ‘The Greeks’. Stylistically ranging from raw dream-pop anthems to late night dance bangers, standout tracks include crowd favourites, ‘Lies’ and ‘Think We’re Alone’.

Their recent single ‘The Greeks‘ was accompanied by an amazing video directed by French team MEGAFORCE. The video has gone viral, clocking up over 1.5 million views in just over a week and being described as best video of the year by many.

The Helmholtz Resonators have release their new Double A with remixes of their underground classics ‘Bombs!’ by the acid house kings Medicine 8 and the awesome ‘Gypsy’ by Nu Chicago sensation Kurtis Hardrive.

The Double A single has been picking up a lot of love from Eddy Temple Morris (XFM) and Lauren Laverne (BBC 6 Music) with Medicine 8′s remix of Bombs! becoming a regular on her show, partly due from the phenomenal response the track has received from Lauren’s listeners.

Jupiter are based in Paris. However, it’s in London that the boy/girl duo met; on an empty dancefloor, cleared by a slightly too retro hit. Their common passion for retro hits and glitter inspired them to create music halfway between Thank God It’s Friday and Purple Rain.

Oh and it was all shot on a Smartphone. We’re not talking 4 megapixel, we’re talking HD.

As London drudges through a mid-summer downpour, Breton’s filthy indie electro geekery becomes the perfect soundtrack. How near genius is this? Breton’s sharing notes EP is being released with a printed circuit board, which can be built into a synth as shown in the video below. Something for a rainy day.

New Wave meets New Young Pony club with a touch of ETBTG as Cocosuma hit the blogosphere. Stripped down grooves from the original and some oh so killer remixes (Check the Clap Rules Remix and it’s last minute 8 bit nonsense – we like!)

The Jar has casually marched into the front of the Push Music record box so expect some Blondie style shaking from those hipster kids over the next month or so (Plus the video has an early Michel Gondry feel so overall feelings of joy coming the Cocosuma way)
